The academic AssistEase application, designed for educational purposes, delivers a diverse array of features across various modules. Our user base comprises smart wheelchair users, benefiting from a comprehensive system composed of several key components: the smart wheelchair itself, a controlling app, a communication module, and the recognition app. The recognition app, a component I developed, enhances the user experience through chat functionalities, real-time weather updates, seamless integration with the communication module, reminder features, a helpful bot assistant, news retrieval via API, and machine learning-powered sign language interpretation tailored to both user-specific and system-defined dictionaries, all seamlessly integrated with the recognition interface and chat apps. This holistic solution aims to empower smart wheelchair users in their daily lives.
